About the Government Schemes in India

1. Atal Pension Yojana
Atal Pension Yojana is launched by the Ministry of Finance on 9th May 2015 for the pension sector. This program allows people to make contributions and receive a pension in the future. This scheme is beneficial for unorganized sector employees to safeguard their after retirement living expenses.
2. Unnat Jeevan by Affordable LEDs and Appliances for All
Unnat Jeevan by Affordable LEDs and Appliances for All (UJALA) is launched by the Ministry of Power on 1th May 2015 with the aim of electrification. This scheme replaced the ‘Bachat Lamp Yojana’ and reduced the cost of energy-saving Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs).
3. Ayushman Bharat Yojana
Ayushman Bharat Yojana is a central government health scheme launched by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in 2018 to enhance the health conditions of the Indian Public. This scheme made secondary and tertiary medical treatments cashless and paperless for the people in over 15,000 hospitals in India.
4. Deendayal Disabled Rehabilitation Scheme
Deendayal Disabled Rehabilitation Scheme was launched by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment on 1st April 2003 to promote social justice. This scheme aims at creating an environment that provides equal opportunities, equality, social justice, and empowerment of people with disabilities.
5. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana
Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana was launched by the Ministry of Rural Development on 25th September 2014for rural Development. This Scheme provides Training programs to engage BPL and SC/ST youth in gainful employment.
6. Digital India
The Digital India scheme was launched by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology on 1st July 2015 to ensure that all the government services can reach citizens electronically and people can avail benefits from the latest information and communication technology.
7. Gramin Bhandaran Yojana
Gramin Bhandaran Yojana was launched by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare on 31st March 2007 to develop the agriculture sector of India. This scheme aims to create the scientific storage capacity with allied facilities in rural areas to fulfill the needs of the farmers for storing their products and agricultural inputs. Framers can improve their marketability by the promotion of grading standardization and quality control of agricultural produce.
8. Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awaas Yojana
Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awaas Yojana was launched by the Ministry of Rural Development in 1985 and was reconstructed on 25th June 2015 for enhancing the housing conditions of rural areas. The main of this Yojana is to provide financial assistance to the poor people of rural areas for the construction of houses.
9. Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana
Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana was launched by the Ministry of Women and Child Development in 2010 for Mother care in India. Under this scheme, A cash amount of Rs. 4000 is provided to women, who are 19 years and above, for the first two live births.
10. Integrated Child Development Services
Integrated Child Development Services was launched by Women and Child Development on 2nd October 1975 to promote child development in India. The aim of the scheme to vanish malnutrition and health problems in children below 6 years of age. The scheme also cares about the mothers by providing cash incentives upon registration in Anganwadi Centres. This scheme also takes care of the vaccination of newborn children.
11. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Antyodaya Yojana
Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Antyodaya Yojana was launched by the Ministry of Rural Development in 1978 for the Development of rural areas. This scheme has started self-employment programs for people among poor families to raise the income generation capacity. This scheme was merged with another scheme name Swarna Jayanti gram swarozgaar yojna (SGSY)
12. Janani Suraksha Yojana
This scheme was launched by the Ministry of health and family welfare in 2005 for maternity care in India. Under this scheme, one-time cash incentives are provided to pregnant women for institutional/home births. for availing skill assistance.
13. Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission
Jawahar Lal Nehru National urban renewal mission was launched by the ministry of urban development on 3rd December 2005 for the development of urban areas in India. This program aims to improve the quality of life and infrastructure in cities.
14. Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidhyalaya
Tyhs scheme was launched by the ministry of education in July 2004 to develop the educational sector in India. Under this scheme, educational facilities are provided for the girls of Sc/St, OBC, minority, and BPL in educationally backward areas.
15. Inspire Program
This was launched by the ministry of science and technology. This scheme provides scholarships to top science students, fellowship for pursuing Ph.D., and research branch to researchers in India.
16. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana
This yojna was launched by the ministry of science and technology in 1999 to provide a scholarship program to encourage students to pursue research careers in areas of basic science engineering and medicine.
17. Livestock Insurance Scheme
This scheme was launched by the ministry of agriculture to enhance the agricultural sector in Indian by providing insurance to the kettle and attaining improvements in the quality of livestock and their products.
18. Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act
This act was launched by the Ministry of Rural Development on 6th February 2006 for rural wage employment the scheme provided the legal guarantee for 100 days of employment in every financial year. This facility is provided to adult members of the rural household who is willing to do public work-related unskilled manual work at Rs. 120 per day.
19. Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme
Was launched by the ministry of statistics and program implementation on 23rd December 1993 under this scheme each MP is given the choice to suggest to the district collector for works to the tune of Rs. 500 per annum to be taken up in their constituency this scheme allows members of Rajya sabha to recommend work in more than 1 district in the states from where they are selected.
20. Mid-day Meal Scheme
The midday meal scheme was launched by the ministry of human resource development on 15th August 1995 to develop the health and education sector in India. This scheme provides free lunch to the school children on all working days.
21. Namami Gange Programme
Namami Gange Programme was launched by the Ministry of Water Resources, River and Ganga Rejuvenation in June 2014 to clean and protect Ganga River. Under this scheme, Ministry integrated the efforts to clean and protect the Ganga River.
22. National Literacy Mission Programme
National Literacy Mission Programme was launched by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development on 5th May 1988 to develop the educational section in the country. The program aims to provide education to 80 million adults (15-35 Years of Age).
23. National Pension Scheme
The National Pension Scheme was launched by the Government of India on 1st January 2004. It is a contribution-based pension scheme.
24. National Scheme on Welfare of Fishermen
A National Scheme on the welfare of Fishermen was introduced by the Ministry of Agriculture for the betterment of this sector. This scheme aims at providing financial assistance to the fishermen for house construction. It also assists the community hall for recreation and common working places. The installation of tube-wells is also done under the scheme.
25. National Service Scheme
The National Service Scheme is launched by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. The scheme works for the personality development of the youth through social service or community services.
26. National Social Assistance Scheme
National Social Assistance Scheme is launched by the Ministry of Rural Development on 15th August 1995. It is a pension scheme that provides public assistance to the unemployed, old aged, sick, disabled, and underserved citizens.
27. Pooled Finance Development Fund Scheme
Pooled Finance Development Fund Scheme is launched by the Ministry of Urban Development on 29th September 2006. The scheme aims to promote Pooled Finance Development Fund (PFDF) which enables urban local bodies including small and medium municipalities to raise funds from the market to meet their investment requirements. It provides the credit enhancement to ULBs to access market borrowing based on the creditworthiness through State level pooled Finance Mechanism.
28. Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana
Pradhan mantra Adarsh Gram Yojana is launched by the Ministry of Rural Development on 23rd July 2010 development of villages. The Scheme aims at the integrated development of SC majority villages in 4 states.
29. Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana is launched by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in April 2015. It is a Skill Development initiative scheme that encourages the youth of the country the development of professional skills. It is done by providing financial rewards by recognition of prior learning or undergoing training affiliated centers. The scheme was launched to provide the institutional capacity to train at least 40 crores, skilled people, by 2022.
30. Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana
Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana is launched by the Ministry of Finance on 9th May 2015. This scheme covers accidental insurance with a minimal premium of Rs.12 per month.
31. Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana
Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana is launched by the Ministry of Finance on 28th August 2014. It is a national mission for financial inclusion which ensures access to financial services like banking saving accounts, deposit accounts, Remittance, credit, insurance, and pension. These services can be availed an affordable manner.
32. Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana
Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana is launched by the Ministry of Finance on 9th May 2015. This scheme provides life insurance of Rs.2 lakhs with a minimal premium of Rs. 330 per year.
33. Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana
Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana is launched by the Ministry of Rural Development on 25th December 2000 as a step toward rural development. Under this scheme, the unconnected villages are provided with good all-weather road connectivity.
34. Rajiv Awas Yojana
Rajiv Awas Yojana is launched by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs in 2013 to promote urban housing in the country. This scheme aims at making Slum Free India and makes cities equitable where all the citizens can have the basic civic infrastructure and social amenities and proper shelter.
35. Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana
Rajiv Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana is launched by the Ministry of power in April 2005. This Scheme aims at the creation of rural electricity infrastructure and household electrification. This provides electricity to the rural houses.
36. Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana
Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana was launched by the Ministry of Agriculture for the development in the Agriculture sector of India. It was launched on 1st August 2007 to achieve 4% annual agricultural growth by developing the agriculture and its allied sectors during the plan XI period.
37. Rashtriya Swasthaya Bima Yojana
Rashtriya Swasthaya Bima Yojana is launched by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on 1st April 2008. This Scheme provides health insurance to the BPL, domestic workers, MGNERGA workers, Rikshaw pullers, and other daily wages workers as may be identified by the respective states.
38. Revised National Tuberculosis Control Program
RNTCP scheme (Revised National Tuberculosis Control Program) was launched by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in 1997 to fight against tuberculosis in India.
39. Saksham or Rajiv Gandhi Scheme for Empowerment of Adolescent Boys
Saksham or Rajiv Gandhi Scheme for Empowerment of Adolescent Boys was launched by the Ministry of Women and Child Development in 2004. This scheme aims to provide all-around development of adolescent boys and make them independent, gender-sensitive, and mature responsible citizens. The scheme focuses on all the adolescent boys whether school going or not, between the age of 11 to 18 years.
40. Sabla or Rajiv Gandhi Scheme for Empowerment of Adolescent Girls
Sabla or Rajiv Gandhi Scheme for Empowerment of Adolescent Girls was launched by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in 2011. This scheme aims to empower adolescent girls, especially those out of school. The scheme ensures the improvement in the nutrition and health status of the girls and upgrades their skills like home skills, life skills, and vocational skills. Adolescent girls under the age of 11-18 years are covered under this scheme.
41. Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana
Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana was launched by the Ministry of rural development on 25th September 2001 targeting rural self-employment. This scheme provides additional wage employment and food security along with creating durable community assets in rural areas.
42. Swabhiman Scheme
Swabhiman was launched by the Ministry of Finance on 15th February 2011. This scheme aims at opening the 5 crore bank accounts by March 2012 and make banking available to all the citizens of the country.
43. Swarnajayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana
Swarnajayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana was launched by the ministry of rural development on 1st April 1999 targeting rural employment. This scheme aims at bringing the poor families of rural areas above the poverty line by organizing SHGs for them. This is done through social mobilizing, training and capacity building, and provisions of income-generating assets by bank credits and government subsidies.
44. UDISHA Scheme
Udisha scheme was launched by the ministry of women and child development to promote child care in India. Under this scheme, training programs were initiated by ICDS workers. The UDISHA is a World Bank aided project.
45. National Rural Livelihood Mission
National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) was launched by the ministry of rural Development in June 2014. The scheme aims at organizing the rural poor into self-help groups and makes them capable enough to start their small business. This way poor people will get better living conditions.
46. National Urban Livelihood Mission
National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM) was launched by the Ministry of housing and urban affairs on 24th September 2013. This scheme works for the reduction of poverty from urban poor households. Special attention is given to street vendors who are the important segment of the urban poor. The scheme will help them to access gainful self-employment and skilled wage employment opportunities.
47. Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana
