Today we will talk together about the life and message of a great Indian, who turned us all towards his ideals that gave a new direction to the Indian freedom struggle. Yes, today we will talk about Mahatma Gandhi.
Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2 October 1869, but an important part of his life was his principles of Satyagraha and non-violence. Gandhiji gave a unique direction to the Indian freedom struggle in which he dedicated his life to mobilizing people by following non-violence.
Gandhiji’s principles of Satyagraha and non-violence showed the world that big changes could be made even without violence. Through the same principles, he made the Indian freedom struggle successful and played an important role in getting independence for India.
One of his important messages was – “A person should not be judged on the basis of his deeds but on the basis of his references.” Gandhiji taught the important thing of looking at all people from an equal perspective without any discrimination.
